What should I wear?
Anything comfortable which won’t restrict your movement. Leggings , tracksuit bottoms,
shorts and a T-
I’m not very flexible -
In Iyengar Yoga we use a lot of props such as blocks, bricks, walls, and belts, to help you achieve the right shape in the pose. We all have different levels of flexibility in different parts of the body – there’s no such thing as too stiff. You will see your flexibility improve through regular practice of yoga.
Can I eat beforehand?
Yoga should be done on an empty stomach so it is recommended that you leave 4 hours after a heavy meal or 1 hour after a light snack or drink.
Will yoga interfere with my other sports?
Yoga will enhance your other sports, strengthening muscles and ligaments. It will make you more effective in anything else you do.
Do I need equipment?
No, all equipment is provided, however if you prefer to bring and use your own you are very welcome to.
I have an injury/serious condition. Can i still do yoga?
Having an injury or serious condition should not prevent you from doing yoga, however
please contact me with more details. Many conditions, as well as the healing of many
injuries, can be improved by practising yoga. Certain serious conditions however
may mean that you can not attend a general class, and should practice under the guidance
of a senior or remedial teacher. I can recommend one to you.
